Titel: Mean of multiple matrices (with different time dimension)
|
 |
Hi all
I have multiple matrices with the size 128:(different), i.e. matrices differ in length of the second dimension (which is time).
Now I would like to calculate the mean over the second dimension (time) over all matrices. This would probably imply to normalize the time dimension.
How would you do it?
Many thanks in advance!
Liso

Here I add an example:
Matrix A (128 x 2337)
Matrix B (128 x 2828)
How can I average so that the resulting matrix (for example 128 x 2000) contains the normalized mean of A and B?
Again, any tip is very appreciated.

Hi liso,
The question is not clear, because you did not explain unequivocally, how the 128x2000 matrix should be constructed from the both matrices A and B. Therefore it is not clear, what "averaging" exactly means here.
Kind regards, Jan

Thanks for your fast answer!
The columns of each matrix are actually the time dimension. I would like to arrive at D so that the columns are the averaged values over a normalized time of each of the matrices. Normalized for example from 0 to 1. The lenght of the colums could be for example 2000 datapoints, but it could also be any other number that fits.
I hope this calrifies my question. Please let me know if this in understandable.
