Hey, I am currently optimising a multigrid solver (for PDE) with regard to the spectral radius of a matrix. So basically, it is loads of spectral radius optimizations. I use eigs(M,1) for these, but modified it: in case the spectral radius could not be calculated to the requested accuracy, eig is used instead to calculate the spectral radius.
The error is reproducible, but occurs not in every single run of the optimization. In fact, in November/December last year it never occurred, but now nearly no optimisation runs through.
I start the optimizations using mobaxterm x server and screen to work on the system in the following error report:
